Hi @Prashantkit,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you've changed your router and are now experiencing connectivity issues with your HP printer, there are several steps you can take to resolve the problem. Follow these steps to help you reconnect your printer to the new router.
-
Check Network Settings on the Printer:
- Access your printer's control panel or display screen.
- Navigate to the network settings or wireless settings menu.
- Ensure that the printer is set to connect to your new Wi-Fi network. If it's still connected to the old network, update the settings with the new network's information (SSID and password).
-
Restart Your Printer:
- Turn off your HP printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for a few minutes and then plug it back in and turn it on.
-
Check Router Settings:
- Access your new router's web interface using a computer or mobile device.
- Confirm that the Wi-Fi network is operational and broadcasting.
- Make sure the router's security settings (e.g., WPA/WPA2 password) are correctly configured.
-
Reconnect to Wi-Fi:
- If your printer supports Wi-Fi Direct or WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can use these features to simplify the connection process.
- Wi-Fi Direct allows you to connect your printer directly to your device without going through a router. Consult your printer's manual for instructions.
- WPS can be used to automatically connect your printer to your new router by pressing the WPS button on the router and following your printer's prompts.
-
Reinstall Printer Software:
- Uninstall the existing printer software and drivers from your computer.
- Download the latest HP printer software and drivers from the HP website for your specific printer model and install it on your computer. During the installation process, it will guide you through connecting the printer to the new network.
-
Reset the Printer's Network Settings:
- If the above steps don't work, you can try resetting your printer's network settings to their default values. This will erase all previous network configurations. Consult your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a network reset.
Remember that it's essential to ensure that your printer and router are using the same Wi-Fi network, and that the network settings are correctly configured. Additionally, make sure your printer's firmware is up to date to avoid any compatibility issues
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
