I have a DeskJet 3720 and I cannot get it to recognize the Wifi. I am using the HP Smart App from the Apple store a recommended, but my Mac can't see the printer. It doesn't recognize it. It tells me to go look at the Wifi in System Setting and look gof the HP Setup, but that doesn't exist.
There are no cords plugged into the printer other than the power cord. I have wifi 2.4 and bluetooth both turned on in my Mac and I am using iOS Catalina 15.3.1. I can't use the system settings to set up the printer, as it doesn't recognize that the printer exists.
Help please!

Hi @lara3000,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printers connectivity!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Restart your computer or mobile device, printer, and router to clear any error states.
Disconnect your computer or mobile device from the network name (SSID), and then reconnect it to the same network name your printer is connected to.
If the printer is available and has a ready status, the issue is resolved. You do not need to continue troubleshooting.
Press the Power button to turn off the printer. If the printer does not turn off, disconnect the power cord from the printer and from the power source.
Turn off the computer or mobile device that the printer was set up with.
Restart the router.
Reconnect the power cord to the printer and to a wall outlet.
NOTE:
HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Turn on the computer or mobile device.
Check the connection to make sure the same network is used by the printer and the device.
Computer or mobile device: Open the list of available networks and make sure it is connected to the correct network.
Printer: Check the Wireless light on the control panel. If it is solid blue the printer is connected.

Unfortunately, that has not helped. I have turned everything off, all the way back through the modem. The computer is connect to the 2.4 ghz router, which is working fine for every other item connected to it.
There is ink in the printer. The paper is properly installed. It is plugged in and the printer is within 5' of the modem, router and computer.
The following are rapidly flashing on the printer:
- Power button
- The image of a piece of paper with an arrow pointing down (there is paper properly installed on the printer)
- The Wireless icon that looks like a tiny antenna with half ellipses on either side.
I am unable to print a network test report. I have tried the options provided in your link (press the Wireless button with the Information button at the same time. i get nothing.)
Essentially, I have an electronic brick that is sitting on my desk that nothing is recognizing and no way to trouble shoot, as nothing is recognizing it.
