Hi All,
My previous envy printer has gone to printer heaven so just brought the Deskjet 2700.
Have found it etc in the HP Smart app, but it will not find my home network to allow me to connect to the house wifi. It is in the same room as the router and my iphone which I am using to set it up. I just keep getting no reachable networks, which is ridiculous.
Any help appreciated
Thanks
Richard

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I have a few troubleshooting steps we could try to fix the issue:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till the warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Please perform these steps and let me know how it goes.

Didn’t help and spent 5 hours on WhatsApp talking to your technical staff which didn’t help either
i was going to return the printer as it has cost more in my time than the printer itself. However, thought I would have one more go. In the smart app (not so smart), I went into advanced settings which took me to an insecure website, which is worrying, but there is a setting in there for resetting your network. Used that and it is now connected, not sure why the tech people couldn’t find that

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Are you printing from your phone or computer?
- What seems to be the exact issue with your HP Product today?
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting back.
Let's try few more steps:
-
What's the Wi-Fi light status on the Printer(Blinking or Steady)?
-
Could you share the screen where it's asking for the password?
-
Are you connecting your printer to the home network or HP named network?
