Nobody seems to have a solution for how to do a factory reset for my printer except HP and because my warranty is up, they want to charge me for the information.
Lucky for me they aren't the B all and end all of computers, etc.

True - if you go through HP Support, they accept submitted cases for devices in Warranty.
That said, the instructions you seek are available in the Community but guidance must come from a agent.
What? Non-HP people (Experts) cannot provide information that can breach device security.
