@CSCBELAUHI, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
If you've forgotten the Embedded Web Server (EWS) password for your HP Ink Tank Wireless 416, you can reset it by restoring the printer to its factory default settings. Here's how:
Reset EWS Password via Factory Reset
Note: This will reset all printer settings, including network configurations.
Steps to Restore Factory Defaults:
- Turn on the printer if it’s not already on.
- On the printer control panel, press and hold the Cancel (X) button and the Wireless button together for 5 seconds.
- The printer will restart and restore all settings to factory defaults, including the EWS password.
Once reset, you can access the EWS again using the default credentials or set a new password.
Accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- Find the printer’s IP address:
- Print a Network Configuration Page by pressing the Information (i) button.
- Open a web browser and enter the IP address in the address bar (e.g., http://192.168.1.100).
- The EWS page should load. If prompted for login:
- Try leaving the password field blank, or use admin as the username.
- If it still asks for a password, it means a custom one was set and needs to be reset as above.
I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.
Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
