I've recently bought an Envy 6030 printer, at first it printed 4x6 photos but isn't any more, I've reset the Printer etc and it has on occasion printed a photo but when I go to print another it doesn't do anything
I'm getting fed up with turning it on/off trying to get it to work
I have seen some advice saying turn off the router but why should I need to do that (just asking)
I'll print and it says it sending the print to the printer but after a period when i send it again it show 'printer is busy' but nothing comes off
I'm using the app on my Ipad, and HP Laptop
Please can someone help, as it's not fit for the purpose I bought it for so if not resolved I may need to return it

I did not find the "6030" - did find the "6032" model in the HP ENVY 6000 All-in-One Printer series
The printer might be confused.
If you are running a dual band router,
The printer supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz - but not at the same time.
Product Specifications for the HP ENVY 6032 All-In-One Printer (5SE19B)
Connectivity
Ports | 1 Hi-Speed USB 2.0; 1 Wi-Fi 802.11ac (dual band) |
Wireless capability | Yes, built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n |
Regardless, these are all about the same printer with only minor (if any differences) for the regions in which a model is sold.
One reason for restarting the router:
If your network is managing both 5GHz and 2.4GHz devices and you have not properly configured the network, your printer can get confused and disconnect. Restarting is not a fix, but can can temporarily reconnect devices that lost their connection to the network.
Adjust the Dual Band SSID Network Names
Log into the router,
Make sure the router is broadcasting on both bands
Create a unique SSID network name for each bandwidth
NOTE: The wireless password can be the same for both bands
Connect the printer to the SSID network name you want to use.
What else?
If you have not done so, download-save-install the Full Feature Software / Full Driver for the printer
If using USB cable between the printer and the computer, disconnect the cable.
HP Easy Start Printer Setup Software
- Download-and-Save the printer software (Full Feature Software / HP Smart / Easy Start)
- Right-Click on the downloaded package and "Run as Administrator" to start the installation
- Reminder: If using Easy Start, select the Full Driver
- About 2/3 of the way through the setup, you will be given the opportunity to select the software - select the "Full" driver set (as opposed to the basic driver).
- If using USB: Connect the cable when instructed to do so (near the last part of the driver installation)
- After the software is installed, Restart the computer and log in.
Full driver provides print and scan functions (even if HP Smart proves to be stubborn).

What else?
Consider creating a static IP address for the printer.
Printing Center > Common Questions > Connection Issues
Section: Improve Wireless communication by setting a manual (static) IP address
What else?
Method - Create TCP IP port
Find printer's IP / IPv4 address
Print a Configuration Page
OR
Tap on the wireless icon on Printer Control / Display Panel
Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers
Right-Click on the printer > Left-Click Printer Properties
Select Tab Ports > Add Port
Select Standard TCP/IP Port > New Port and follow the wizard.
Use / Enter IP address for the printer.
Example - How-to “Create TCP Port” Contributed by greenturtle
Video: Create & Use TCP IP port
“Note that you can ALWAYS revert back to the original port that the HP software installed by selecting the HP port within the Ports tab (in Printer Properties)”
What else?
Check the printer firmware.
Check the router firmware.
Check the router for usefulness - for example: Old, outdated, weak router is not going to provide decent service even if everything else is shine, new, powerful, and properly configured.
