Hi @Mistytingle
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The EBSOOP0013 error code typically appears on HP printers and is often associated with problems related to either the ink or the printer's software communication. Here's how you can try to resolve this issue:
Steps to Resolve the EBSOOP0013 Error Code:
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds, plug it back in, and turn the printer on. This can help clear temporary glitches and reset the printer.
Check Ink Cartridges:
- Make sure the ink cartridges are properly installed. Remove them and carefully reinsert them to ensure they're seated correctly.
- If you're using non-HP ink cartridges, the error could be caused by compatibility issues. HP printers often require official ink cartridges for full functionality, so try using an authentic HP cartridge if possible.
Check for Paper Jams:
- Sometimes, this error code can be related to a paper jam or an obstruction inside the printer. Open the printer cover and check for any paper or debris stuck in the paper path.
Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the ink cartridges and clean the contacts (the metal contacts on the cartridges and inside the printer) using a lint-free cloth or cotton swab. Be gentle to avoid damaging the contacts.
- Reinstall the cartridges after cleaning them.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Go to the HP support website and check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can fix bugs that cause errors like this one.
- You can also use the HP Smart app to check for and install any available updates.
Check for Software Conflicts:
- Ensure that the printer drivers installed on your computer are the correct ones for your model. If you're unsure, uninstall the current printer drivers and reinstall the latest ones from the HP support website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
