Hi @liebling373,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're experiencing a persistent issue with the HP Smart app on your mobile devices, even though it works fine on your Windows PC. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can take to resolve this issue:
1. Check Network Connection
- Ensure that your mobile devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the printer. The HP Smart app requires both devices to be on the same network for communication.
2. Update the HP Smart App
- Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your mobile devices. Check the Google Play Store (for Android) and the App Store (for iOS) for updates.
3. Clear App Cache (Android Only)
- For Android devices, go to Settings > Apps > HP Smart > Storage, and select Clear Cache. Then try reopening the app.
4. Reboot All Devices
- Restart your printer, mobile devices, and your router. This can help refresh connections and clear any temporary issues.
5. Check Printer Status in the App
- Open the HP Smart app and check if the printer shows as online. If it’s showing as offline, try removing the printer from the app and then re-adding it.
6. Try a Different Network
- If possible, connect your mobile devices to a different Wi-Fi network (like a mobile hotspot) and see if the issue persists. This can help determine if it’s a network-related issue.
7. Check for Firewall or Security Software
- If your router has any firewall settings or security features, check to see if they might be blocking the communication between your mobile devices and the printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
