Hi @Levl2

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The security warning you're seeing on your HP ENVY 4520 indicates that your computer is recognizing the printer as a different device, possibly due to a change in the connection method or a new driver installation. Here are some steps to address this issue:

Confirm Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer. If you've changed your network settings or router, this could cause the issue.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your printer and your computer. This can help refresh the connections.

Remove and Re-add the Printer:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP ENVY 4520 and click Remove device.
  • After removing it, click Add a printer or scanner to re-add the printer.

Check for Driver Updates:

  • Visit the HP website to ensure you have the latest drivers installed for your printer. Outdated drivers can cause connection issues.

Use HP Smart App:

  • If you haven't already, try using the HP Smart app to add and manage your printer. This app can help with setup and connectivity issues.

Trust the Printer:

  • If you are sure the printer is safe and you're using it in a trusted network, tap Continue on the warning message to allow the connection.

Check Network Settings:

  • Make sure that any firewall or security settings on your router are not blocking the printer. Sometimes, security settings can prevent devices from communicating.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
