HP Officejet Pro 8100 ePrinter - N811a/N811d
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer.  I keep getting a message from instant ink that I am not connected.  My printer is hooked up to my computer not to wifi.  It has been that way always.  The blue light they speak of does not seem to be lit, or I can not tell if it is.  how can I get connected to instant ink without changing my printer connection?

Hi @patliston,
Welcome to HP Support Community. This is a great place to post questions and find answers.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I see that your HP Officejet Pro 8610 printer is not connected to router.

You need to connect the printer to the wi-fi router so that the unit connects with instant ink and works.

Please follow the steps in this document to connect the printer to the router.
