my F4500 deskjet printer doesn't detect my new wifi network setup on Linksys router. frequency is 2.4-5 GHZ. I have tried all the steps, my wifi can find 'hpsetup' but not the one in my network

I understand the printer is not able to connect to the wireless network.

  • This printer supports WPA encryption, check if the router is on the same encryption method. If using WEP or WPA-PSK+FT change it to WPA-PSK
  • Due to the age of the printer, it does not support the newer wireless encryption technologies.
  • Make sure the printer and the PC are connected to the same wireless network. This printer supports only a 2.4GHz network.
  • If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
