To factory reset your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M183fw, follow these steps:
Factory Reset via Printer Control Panel:
- On the printer’s touchscreen, tap the Setup menu.
- Navigate to Service > Restore Defaults.
- Confirm the reset. The printer will restart and return to factory settings.
Full NVRAM Reset (If Needed):
If the issue persists, try a full reset:
- Turn off the printer.
- Press and hold the Resume (⚠️) button and Power button together.
- Wait until the printer starts up and release the buttons.
After Reset: Reconfigure the Printer:
- Reconnect to WiFi (if needed).
- Install drivers from HP’s website.
- Try printing a test page.
