Hi @stuti1242

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that you're unable to send or receive faxes, even though the Fax Test Report indicates that all tests have passed. Could you please share the model name of your HP printer and let me know if there are any fax error codes or messages displayed on the printer or in the Fax Activity Report? In the meantime, I kindly request that you follow the troubleshooting steps below:

Step 2: Restart the Printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet and turn the printer back on.

Step 3: Check Fax Setup

  • On the printer control panel, open Fax Setup.
  • Verify that the Country/Region is set correctly.
  • Ensure Auto Answer is enabled if you want the printer to receive faxes automatically.
  • Confirm the Rings to Answer setting is appropriate.

Step 4: Adjust Fax Speed

  • Go to Fax Setup > Advanced Fax Setup.
  • Set the Fax Speed to Slow (9600 bps).
  • Ensure Error Correction Mode (ECM) is enabled.

Step 5: Send a Test Fax

  • Send a fax to a known working fax machine.
  • If it fails, print the Fax Activity Report or Fax Error Report and note any error codes.

Hope this helps, Please revert if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
