Hi, I bought an HP DeskJet 4100e wireless printer in the summer of 2021 (2 years ago).  Used it to print out car registration and some other stuff, then put it away and didn't use it till now.  It's time to print some more stuff, so I took it out and attempted to connect to it's wireless system.  Did not know the password, didn't write it down from last time.  Thought I did but I didn't.  So I attempted to call tech support but the automated machine won't let me speak to anyone.  I attempted to get help online but it says I'm "out of warranty" and is trying to charge me $20.  Whaaat? So I opted for this forum.  I watched some videos and attempted to press the information button to print out the password, but it seems the cartridge needs cleaning and it can't print,  So I'm at an impasse.  What do I do, to get the password?  Thanks!

Hi @Xtine000,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to assist you.

I see that you are facing an issue with your printer.

To understand the issue and help you, please share the details listed below:

- Error messages (if any) on the unit.

- Is the wireless light on the printer blinking or solid?

- May I know to which device are you trying to connect your printer to eg: Windows PC, Mac, or Smartphone (Android or iPhone)?

Note: Do not share any of your personal information such as serial, phone number, email ID, etc.

Take care and have a great day ahead!
