Product: HP Color LaserJet Pro M255dw

When I set an Administrator password for the Color LaserJet M255dw I am unable to use the password to login to the device afterwards.

I copy/paste the password from my password manager so that I know that there is no input error. 

I have tried with the following usernames with the same failure result:

  • admin
  • Admin
  • administrator
  • Administrator
  • (Blank)

The firmware is updated on the printer, and I have replicated the same issue on 2 other printers of the same model.

I have also tried using HP Smart to access the printer using the password that I set, but this results in the same outcome.

Any assistance is appreciated!
