Hi @DIANA150,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To connect your HP DeskJet 2723e printer to your new Wi-Fi network with the new password, follow these steps.

Using the HP Smart App

Download and Install HP Smart:

  • On your smartphone or tablet, download the HP Smart app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play Store (Android).
  • Open the app and follow the on-screen instructions to set up an HP account if you haven't already.

Prepare the Printer:

  • Make sure your printer is turned on and in a ready state.
  • If your printer is not in a ready state, you might need to reset the network settings. To do this, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button on the printer for about 3 seconds. This will reset the wireless settings and enable setup mode.

Connect the Printer to the Network:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Tap the plus sign (+) to add a new printer.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to find your printer. The app will search for printers in setup mode.
  • When your printer is found, select it and follow the prompts to connect it to your new Wi-Fi network. You will need to enter the new Wi-Fi password.

Using the Printer’s Control Panel

Restore Network Settings:

  • If your printer has been previously connected to another network, you might need to restore its network settings. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 3 seconds until the Power button starts flashing.

Use the WPS Method:

  • If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can use this method.
  • On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for at least 3 seconds or until the Wireless light starts blinking.
  • Within 2 minutes, press the WPS button on your router.
  • The Wireless light on the printer will stop blinking and stay on when the connection is successful.

Using HP Wireless Setup Wizard (for Printers with Display)

If your HP DeskJet 2723e has a display screen:

Access Wireless Setup Wizard:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the Network menu or tap the Wireless icon.
  • Select "Wireless Settings" or "Wireless Setup Wizard."
  • The printer will search for available networks.

Connect to Your Network:

  • Select your network from the list of available networks.
  • Enter the new Wi-Fi password using the control panel.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the connection.

After connecting your printer to the new Wi-Fi network, you may need to update the printer settings on your computer or other devices.

Reinstall the Printer Driver (if necessary)

Download the Latest Driver:

  • Visit the HP support website.
  • Search for "HP DeskJet 2723e" and download the latest driver and software for your operating system.

Install the Driver:

  • Run the downloaded driver installation file.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver and connect the printer to your computer.

By following these steps, your HP DeskJet 2723e should be successfully connected to your new Wi-Fi network with the new password.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
