macOS 12.0 Monterey

To get the IP address, I've gotten to the "Show IP Address" screen, press OK, it shows ">Yes," but when I press OK it reverts back to Show IP Address screen.  How do I select Yes to show the IP address?

Hi @BC525,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're experiencing difficulty getting the IP address on your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw and the device seems to revert back to the "Show IP Address" screen after selecting ">Yes," you may try the following steps.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Wait for about 10 seconds.
  • Turn the printer back on.

Check for Firmware Update:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. Visit the official HP website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. If there are, follow the instructions provided to update the firmware.

Factory Reset (Caution: This will reset all settings):

  • If the issue persists, you might consider performing a factory reset. Keep in mind that this will reset all settings on your printer.
  • Navigate to the printer's control panel.
  • Go to the Setup or Tools menu.
  • Look for an option that allows you to reset the printer to factory defaults.

Manual IP Configuration (Alternative):

  • Instead of using the built-in function to display the IP address, you can manually configure the IP address. Access the printer settings through the control panel, and navigate to network or connectivity settings. Look for an option to set a manual (static) IP address. Once set, you can check if the IP address is configured correctly.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
