Does anyone know how to bypass the auto off lock mode?
I am convinced this is the reason it keeps my stupid printer from printing when needed. I have been trying everything for the past two days.
It keeps kicking me off my Wi-Fi and printing blank pages. Full tanks and nothing wrong with anything else it prints one page and then nothing at all.

Hi @Carolinecheri09 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you want to bypass the auto-off lock mode with your HP Smart Tank 5000/5100 All-In-One Printer. Unfortunately, I can't advise you to bypass or disable safety features like auto-off on your printer. These features are often in place to prevent issues like overheating, energy waste, or even potential fire hazards. Disabling them could pose risks to your safety and the proper functioning of the device.
However, if you're experiencing connectivity issues with your printer, such as being kicked off Wi-Fi or printing blank pages, there might be other troubleshooting steps you can take:
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. You may need to reconfigure the Wi-Fi settings on your printer if it keeps getting disconnected.
- Update Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Sometimes, manufacturers release updates to address connectivity issues and improve overall performance.
- Check Ink Levels: Even though you mentioned your tanks are full, it's worth double-checking that the ink is properly installed and not causing any issues.
- Clean Print Heads: If your printer is printing blank pages, it could be due to clogged print heads. Most printers have a utility for cleaning print heads that can be accessed through the printer's control panel or software interface.
- Restart Everything: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer, computer, and Wi-Fi router can resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.
