Hi @echorock,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're dealing with a connection issue with your new HP ENVY 6055 printer. Let's walk through some troubleshooting steps to get your printer connected to WiFi.

Check the WiFi Network: Ensure the printer is trying to connect to the correct WiFi network, and double-check the password.

Printer Reset: Perform a reset on the printer to clear any potential configuration issues:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Unplug it from the power source for about 60 seconds.
  • Plug it back in and power it on.

Check Router Settings:

  • Ensure that your router is working properly by connecting other devices to the same network.
  • If your router is dual-band (2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), make sure the printer is connecting to the 2.4 GHz band, as many printers have issues with 5 GHz networks.

Use the HP Smart App:

  • Download and install the HP Smart app on your phone or computer.
  • Open the app, select Add Printer, and follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to the WiFi network.

Manual Wireless Setup:

  • On the printer’s control panel, press the Wireless icon or button (it may look like a WiFi symbol).
  • Choose Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the prompts to select your WiFi network and enter the password.

Check for Network Interference: Ensure that no devices are causing interference with the printer’s WiFi connection, especially devices that use a lot of bandwidth like gaming consoles or video streaming devices.

Firmware Update: Ensure your printer’s firmware is up to date. You can check and update the firmware through the HP Smart app or by visiting the HP support website.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
