My printer won't connect to my new TalkTalk router. Got a message saying the printer was only compatible with 2.4 and not 5 something-or-other. Is it possible to get over this problem? My old router worked beautifully with it. Be glad of any help you can give.

@Tina952

Please allow TalkTalk router to broadcast dual bands (2.4GHz and 5.0GHz), your printer will "see" 2.4GHz network and allow you to connect.

Thank you so much, Banhien. Please can you tell me how to do that, or would I need to speak to TalkTalk technical team?

I had the same problem until I fished out hp 2600 instruction book. All you need to do is press and hold the wireless button on the hp2600 until the blue light starts flashing. Then go over to your router and simply press the WPS button (back of my router).

The flashing blue light soon stops flashing. You're connected!  (WPS =wifi protected setup)

Just spent half a day to figure it out! I should have fished out the hp instruction booklet at the start!

Thank you so much for replying. I'm pretty sure I tried that, but maybe not. I had to return the new router to TalkTalk in the end, and use my old router. However, at some point I will probably have to have a new one, and will remember your instructions.
