I am being asked for admin username and password to change my wi-fi connection. The problem is I never set that up to begin with. I can't reset to factory default and am locked out of admin access.

Hi @autumnstorage,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
Thank you for contacting HP Support. We understand you're being prompted for an administrator username and password to change the Wi-Fi settings on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9025e, and cannot proceed because those credentials were never set. We also understand you’re currently unable to reset the printer to factory defaults.
In this situation, please try the steps shared below:
Option 1: Reset Admin Password via Embedded Web Server (EWS)
- Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer’s control panel:
- Go to Settings > Reports > Network Configuration Page.
- Go to Settings > Reports > Network Configuration Page.
- Look for the printer’s IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.xxx).
- Enter this IP address into your web browser to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
