Hi @AlabamaShores,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP 110 printer isn’t connecting to a new Wi-Fi network, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:
1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
- Reset Network Settings: This can clear out old network settings and make it easier to set up a new connection.
- On the printer's control panel, go to Setup or Network settings.
- Look for an option like Network Setup or Restore Network Defaults and select it. This will reset the network settings.
2. Reconnect to the New Wi-Fi Network
- Access Wireless Setup: On the printer’s control panel, navigate to Wireless settings.
- Select New Network: Choose Wireless Setup Wizard or a similar option. The printer will search for available networks.
- Enter Network Details: Select your new Wi-Fi network and enter the password when prompted.
3. Update Printer Firmware
- Firmware Update: Ensure that your printer’s firmware is up to date. Check the HP website or the HP Smart app for any available updates.
4. Reinstall Printer Software
- Uninstall and Reinstall: Remove the printer from your computer’s printer settings and reinstall it.
- On Windows: Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click Remove device. Then, reinstall the printer using the latest drivers from the HP website.
- On Mac: Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click the - button to remove it. Then, click the + button to add it again.
5. Use HP Smart App
- HP Smart App: This app can help you set up the printer on a new network.
- Download the HP Smart app from the HP website or your device’s app store.
- Open the app and follow the instructions to add the printer and connect it to the new Wi-Fi network.
6. Check Router Settings
- Network Compatibility: Ensure your router is broadcasting on a frequency that your printer supports (typically 2.4 GHz).
- Network Security: Ensure that your network’s security settings (like WPA2) are compatible with the printer.
7. Perform a Printer Hard Reset
- Power Cycle: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait about 60 seconds, then plug it back in and turn it on.
8. Check for Interference
- Signal Strength: Ensure the printer is within range of the router and there are no significant obstructions or sources of interference.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
