Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you are getting connectivity issues on your printer, I am glad to assist you.
The following factors can cause the printer to lose the wireless connection:
-
The network connection is no longer active, or has low signal strength.
-
The printer goes into sleep mode or standby mode.
-
The printer is either too far away from the wireless router, or too close to it. The recommended distance between the printer and the router is 1.0 meter to 1.5 meters (3 ft to 5 ft).
-
A firewall prevents the printer from accessing the computer and wireless network.
-
A nearby device that emits radio signals (such as a microwave or cordless telephone) might interfere with the wireless connection.
-
A virtual private network (VPN) prevents the printer from accessing the computer and wireless network.
Connect the printer using WPS
Use Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect the printer so the HP installer can find the printer during the installation. Consult your wireless router manual to confirm if it supports the WPS push button connection type.
Step 1: Make a network connection with the printer
Use the WPS button on the printer to connect to your network.
-
If your router does not support WPS, skip to the next step to download and install the driver.
-
If your router supports WPS, continue with these steps.
-
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button .
-
Release thebutton when the wireless light starts blinking.
-
Within two minutes, press and release the WPS button on your wireless router.
-
Wait up to two minutes while the printer and router establish a network connection.
Step 2: Download and install the print driver
Download and install the latest print driver from the HP website. If you did not connect your printer to the wireless network in the previous step, connect the printer to your computer with a USB cable to establish the wireless connection when prompted.
-
Disconnect any USB cables from the printer.
-
Go to 123.hp.com, and then click Download to download and run HP Easy Start.
-
Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the connection setup and driver installation.
-
Return to the 123.hp.com page in your web browser to complete the printer registration and activation.
Your printer is now set up and ready to use.
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.
