Product: HP DeskJet 2752e All-in-One Printer

I have an HP 2752e Printer & when I got a new wifi modem the printer could not connect to it, so I was using the old modem to print with. I would plug it in and print what I needed and then unplug it. A new firmware update became available recently, that supposedly, fixed this issue. So I downloaded and installed it. Well it not only did not work, it also disabled it from accessing my old modem so now I can't print anything. How do I fix this. Should I uninstall the printer & reinstall it from the original installation program without any updates & try to reconnect it to the old wifi modem? I will never buy an HP printer again! Just make these things easy & simple like Steve Jobs said....
