Hi
Can anyone help me to find the solution for resetting printer to default factory settings.
I am able to connect the printer with Wifi Direct and with this I am able to connect with IP 192.168.233.1 but when trying to reset factory setting it's asking for Sign In with User Id and Password.
I tried with user name - admin and password - 12345678 but it's not working.
also tried with user name - admin and password - (blank) but not working.
Awaiting for solutions.
Please help

Welcome to the HP support community.
I understand that you want to reset the EWS password, I am glad to assist you.
Resetting the printer's network settings to its factory default settings erases the embedded Web server (EWS) administrator password.
Follow these steps to reset the printer to the factory default settings:-
Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel together for three seconds.
Login to the EWS page with the default credentials and change the password.
Username: admin
Password: "leave it blank"
Let me know how it goes.
To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others.
Cheers.

Hi
Thanks for the reply, I tried this as guided but it's not worked for me.
I have gone through some of the videos and installed HP Print smart on my PC and tried to connect with EWS, it's asking for password with a message "'A custom password has been set for your printer"'.
attempted the given solution with 192.168.1.233 using wifi direct also. nothing worked for me.
Thanks & Regards
