I have spent hours turning off and turning off the printer and laptop - following the HP "fix it" repertoire which says the problem is fixed. The problem is on my wife's laptop - we both have Dell XPS laptops - my laptop is functioning perfectly but my wife's only scans - does not print.
The issue has come about because we have installed a new access point to which we need to connect to; I have after some effort managed to connect the printer to the new access point and have a fully functional connection to the printer (scan and print).
The HP diagnostic process was run and it was reported the "issue" was fixed - which issue ? - my wife can scan but not print. We are in the "sticks" here as far as HP "Service" is concerned - we will be grateful for any assistance to resolve the issue.

Hi Sandytech - thank you for your response - much appreciated - I am travelling overseas and have not been checking my mail. Just before we left I tried the "HP Print & Scan Doctor" programme and that resolved the issue of not being able to paint but yet scan.
Comforting to know there are people like yourself out there willing and capable to help and give assistance - Hooray !!
Regards - Bob
