Switched internet service providers. Connected 6055e to the new network. Followed the steps on HP Smart app to reconnect to MacBook. Runs the first three steps then show this error. Have done this dozens of times to no avail. Any ideas? MacBook and pinter are on the same network. Any

@cln3, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
Based on your issue with the HP ENVY 6055e All-in-One Printer not connecting to your MacBook Pro running macOS 12 Monterey after switching internet providers, here’s a step-by-step guide to help resolve the issue.
Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
This ensures the printer forgets old Wi-Fi settings:
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button together for 5 seconds until the Power light blinks.
- This resets the network settings.
Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi
Use the HP Smart app or Wi-Fi setup mode:
- Open the HP Smart app on your Mac. HP Smart
- Click “+” to add a new printer.
- Follow the prompts to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi.
If the printer doesn’t show up:
- Ensure it’s in Wi-Fi setup mode (the blue wireless light should blink).
- If not, reset network settings again.
Remove and Re-add Printer on Mac
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Select the HP 6055e and click the “-” to remove it.
- Click the “+” to re-add it once it appears again.
4. Update HP Smart and macOS
- Ensure you’re using the latest version of HP Smart from the Mac App Store.
- Update macOS to the latest Monterey patch if possible.
Download and Install HP Easy Start (Optional)
If HP Smart continues to fail, try using HP Easy Start.
