the HP officejet 6500 printer sees the wireless network - it just will not accept the password to connect. wireless config page shows Wireless Light is solid blue. Diagnostic summary says wireless on - PASS Wireless working - PASS Wireless Network SSID name found - PASS. Security - FAIL. I have done every possible reset of the printer i could find on-line including power off, hard reset, even the # 3 pull power reset. nothing seems to allow the connection to work. Tried connecting to both 2.4 & 5.O GHz networks - doesn't make a difference. Printer is about 5 years old. Not sure if there is new firmware that perhaps needs to be installed, but it used to work just fine on several different routers. Feel like there is some setting that has someone been adjusted in the device that needs re-setting but can't seem to find it. Love to learn about any options to establish connection. HELP appreciated.

unfortunately i still get an error message that says Invalid WPA. I even hooked up the printer to the computer via network cable. went into the home page via the printer IP. I then updated the advanced network setting - selecting Infrastructure and a WPA authentication. I entered the correct WPA password for the network in this setting. Still no luck
