Hi @A-I_66,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd like to help!

If your HP OfficeJet Pro 6968 printer is not printing emails but can print from the internet, it's possible that there might be an issue with your email client or email settings. Here are some troubleshooting steps to help you resolve the problem:

Check Email Application/Client:

  • Make sure that your email application or client (e.g., Outlook, Thunderbird, Apple Mail) is set up correctly and configured to print emails. Verify that the email account is connected and functioning as expected.

Email Format:

  • Check the format of the emails you're trying to print. Some emails may contain unusual formatting or attachments that can cause printing issues. Try printing different emails to see if the problem is consistent.

Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated or corrupted drivers can cause printing problems.

Restart the Printer and Computer:

  • Turn off both your printer and computer. Wait a few seconds, and then turn them back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.

Printer Queue:

  • Check the print queue on your computer to make sure there are no pending print jobs. If there are, try canceling them and then attempt to print an email again.

Email Configuration:

  • Double-check the email settings in your email client. Make sure that the default printer selected in your email client is the HP OfficeJet Pro 6968.

Update Email Application:

  • If you are using an email application (e.g., Outlook), ensure that it is updated to the latest version. Outdated software can sometimes lead to compatibility issues.

Print as PDF or Export:

  • As a temporary workaround, you can try printing the email as a PDF or exporting it as a PDF file and then printing the PDF. This can sometimes bypass formatting issues.

Email Content:

  • If certain emails consistently fail to print, it's possible that the content of those specific emails is causing the problem. Try printing emails with simpler text formatting and content to see if they print successfully.

Email Service Provider:

  • If you are using webmail (e.g., Gmail, Yahoo Mail), ensure that your email service provider's web interface is functioning correctly. Sometimes, issues on the email provider's end can affect printing.

Printer Settings:

  • Check the printer settings on your computer. Ensure that the correct printer is selected and that there are no unusual settings affecting email printing.

Contact Support:

  • If the issue persists after trying these steps, consider contacting HP  phone support for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance for your printer model and help diagnose the issue.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
