HP 7800 says offline on Mac and won't print wirelessly, but prints from iPhone and direct from Mac.
After moving house, I successfully reconnected wifi/ printer etc, and all was working like normal. In the last week, printer is no longer responding to print requests from Mac, but happily prints from iPhone. Nothing has changed in the environment, settings etc. I have very fast fibre internet.
I've been through all the troubleshooting guides.
THE HP smart app says printer is offline when viewed from Mac. Can't see printer through manual IP via browsers (tried several).
Diagnostics find no issue.
Printer reports show network is connected fine, signal is excellent.
The report 'wireless network test results' says the wireless quality is poor, and that there are multiple SSID with same name. There aren't, and the screen displayed directly contradicts this report - saying 'connected' and excellent signal.
Web services says connected.
I've rebooted everything as instructed, and tried removing printer from Mac to reset. It now says 'unable to connect to printer due to error - [E5832B]._ipps._tcp.local.
(does not specify, and I have retried, after rebooting).
I can connect via wifi to print directly (direct to printer, connecting to printer, rather than to my normal wifi network).
HP website (123) can't see the printer.
Please advise. Thank you.
