I just moved recently and my internet is now through Starlink. Previous to this, my printer easily connected to wireless networks. My printer will connect to the internet but it won't do anything more than show that it is connected to wifi. Neither a Mac or a PC can connect to the printer. I am hoping for your experiences at tackling this headache.
thanks

Hi @GalianoMike,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP CM1415fnw printer is connected to your Starlink Wi-Fi network but you're unable to print from your Mac or PC, you can try the following troubleshooting steps to resolve the issue.
- Restart your devices: Power off your printer, Mac/PC, and the Starlink Wi-Fi router. After a few seconds, power them back on and allow them to initialize.
- Check network connectivity: Ensure that your Mac/PC is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your printer. Verify the Wi-Fi settings on your devices to confirm the network connection.
- Reset the printer's network settings: On your printer's control panel, navigate to the Network or Wireless menu. Look for an option to reset the network settings or restore defaults. After resetting, go through the wireless setup process again to reconnect your printer to your Wi-Fi network.
- Update printer firmware: Visit the HP support website (https://support.hp.com) and search for your printer model. Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. If so, download and install the latest firmware to ensure compatibility with your network setup.
- Check firewall/antivirus settings: Sometimes, security software or firewall settings on your Mac/PC can interfere with the printer's connectivity. Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software and try printing again. If the issue is resolved, you may need to adjust the settings to allow communication with the printer.
- Reinstall printer drivers: Uninstall the existing printer drivers from your Mac/PC and reinstall the latest version from the HP support website. Make sure you select the correct driver for your printer model and operating system.
- Verify IP address: On your printer's control panel, navigate to the Network or Wireless menu and find the IP address assigned to your printer. Note down the IP address and ensure that the Mac/PC is set to use the same IP address for the printer.
- Test with a different device: If possible, try connecting your printer to a different device, such as a smartphone or tablet, to see if it can print successfully. This will help determine if the issue is specific to your Mac/PC or if it's a problem with the printer itself.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
