Hello,

I've been battling this issue for a few weeks now and it just popped up on separate printer of the same model.

Essentially what is happening is that I am able to add the printer to the PC but when I tried to change the port from WSD to IP, it loses connection and says offline. I've changed the IP address, moved the printer to a different ethernet port  with a new cable all together with the same result.

I've tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling an older version of the driver without resolving the issue. I've tried resetting to factory default, tried leaving it powered off and unplugged over night. I updated the firmware on the printer and even rolled back windows updates to see if that helped but sadly it didn't.

Whenever I tried to run the Print and Scan Doctor, it comes back with turning the printer on or it shows that everything is connected properly and there shouldn't be an issue but when it comes to printing a test page, it errors out saying it's offline.

I tried using HP Smart to install and use the printer but it came back as offline as well.

I used to think it was a networking issue on my end until another printer of the same model began having the exact same issue at a separate facility, I had a feeling it could be originating from the printer.

Any help would be great, Thank you!
