Hi! Ever since I got a new router that only allows me to connect to 5G, my HP Deskjet 3632 will not allow my Macbook Air to connect wirelessly. When going through the setup, it says I can only connect wirelessly to this printer using a 2G connection. I got rid of the hardwire cord that came with it, thinking I wouldn't need it. Any advice? Thanks!

Generally, the printer supports 2.4GHz wireless operations only, so if your router supports 5GHz only you may switch to a USB connection, or a Wi-Fi Direct connection (a direct connection between a wireless device to the printer, including the printer specifications below:
You may find the steps to use HP Wi-Fi Direct below, but be aware that you would need to connect to the printer Wi-Fi Direct printer whenever you would like to print:

May you clarify your router brand and model just to ensure its capabilities and ensure it indeed support 5GHz operations only? to ensure you are not getting any misleading information as I can.

The manual for this router model shows that it should be capable of simultaneous operation on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. I found the manual here: https://fccid.io/H8NSAX1V1K/User-Manual/User-Manual-4757298.pdf
PDF pages 9-11 show steps that can be used to login to the routers web interface and confirm if both 2.4GHz and 5GHz are enabled.
Can you share what ISP are you are using?
