My deskjet 4100 printer has been offline for over a month... Last month, the power in my area went out. I came home, went to print something and my printer was "unavailable". I turned off printer, unplugged it, reset my wifi, turned printer back on and tried reconnecting to wifi - nothing. I have followed every YouTube video and read every article to connect my printer - and again, nothing. It also says that the ink cartridge is empty (instant ink), it isn't - I just replaced them right before this happened. I took one last step - removed the printer from smart hp and instant ink, then did all the setup stuff again. Printer still will not connect to wifi. I have tried connecting via different methods and other wifi connections but nothing. I can now no longer setup the printer through smart hp or enroll back into instant ink (wifi is needed - but the stupid printer will not connect).

Hi @SammieMae92,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've tried many troubleshooting steps already, but there are a few more things you can attempt to get your HP Deskjet 4100 printer back online.
- Check Network Settings: Ensure that the printer is attempting to connect to the correct Wi-Fi network. Sometimes printers may attempt to connect to a different network if available.
- Restart Router: Turn off your router for a few minutes, then turn it back on. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
- Update Printer Firmware: Visit the HP support website and check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer model. Updating the firmware can sometimes fix connectivity issues.
- Manual Wi-Fi Setup: If the automatic setup isn't working, try manually entering your Wi-Fi network information on the printer. This typically involves accessing the printer's settings menu through its control panel.
- Reset Printer Network Settings: There should be an option in the printer's settings menu to reset network settings. Try resetting them and then attempting to reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
Regarding the issue with the ink cartridges showing as empty despite being replaced, try removing the cartridges and reinstalling them. Make sure they are properly seated and secured in their slots.
Hopefully, one of these steps will help you get your printer back online.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

I have tried all of those things... I have reset the printer network settings 5 times. There is no other network near me. The printer will not connect to anything. I've tried manual set up and again, the printer will not connect. There are no updates available for my printer.
I've also replaced the ink twice. Printer still reads empty. It's a brand new printer. I've had it less than 5 months. I had zero issues before this.
