I have a DJ 3630 printer that has worked fine for 6 months since setting up after moving house and now has stopped connecting to my network and won't re-connect. All fixes for an offline printer seem to be predicated on having the wifi in place but I can't get that far. Any help out there?

Hi @davidl1961,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 3630 All-In-One Printer is not connecting to your network after moving to a new house, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
- Check Network Settings: Make sure your printer is in the range of your Wi-Fi network and that the network name (SSID) and password are correctly entered on the printer.
- Restart Your Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues.
- Restart Your Router: Unplug your wireless router from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Wait for the router to fully restart, which may take a few minutes.
- Printer Network Settings: On your printer, navigate to the settings or network menu. You should be able to find an option to set up or configure the wireless network settings. Ensure that the printer is set to connect to the correct network and that the Wi-Fi password is entered correctly.
- Check Wireless Signal Strength: Ensure that your printer is within the range of your Wi-Fi network and that there are no physical obstructions or interference sources blocking the signal.
- Update Firmware/Software: Sometimes, firmware updates for your printer can improve its connectivity. Check the HP website for any available firmware updates for your printer model.
- Printer Reset: You can try resetting the printer to its default settings. Consult your printer's manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to do this.
- Forget and Reconnect: On your computer or mobile device, go to the list of available Wi-Fi networks, forget the network your printer was previously connected to, and then try reconnecting it as if it were a new device.
- Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup): If your router supports WPS, you can use this method to connect the printer. Press the WPS button on your router and follow the printer's on-screen instructions to connect.
- HP Smart App: Consider using the HP Smart app (formerly known as HP All-in-One Printer Remote) to set up and manage your printer. It often simplifies the setup process.
Remember to have your network's SSID and Wi-Fi password handy when attempting to reconnect your printer to the network. Additionally, make sure your printer and devices are using the same Wi-Fi frequency (2.4GHz or 5GHz) as some printers may not support both frequencies.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
