HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer

We moved to a new house and installed a new router. Our HP DeskJet 2652 will not connect to the new router. I have erased the old memory on the printer to setup as new. Now the power light just blinks, and the printer will not recognize our WiFi signal.

Hi @LarryFry,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2652 is not connecting to the new router, you may need to go through the setup process again. Here are some steps you can follow.

Reset Network Settings on the Printer:

  • Turn on the printer.
  • Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the Wireless light starts blinking. This usually takes about 3 seconds.
  • Release the Wireless button.

Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • On your computer or mobile device, go to Wi-Fi settings.
  • Look for a network with the name "HP-Setup" followed by your printer model number.
  • Connect to this network.

Access Printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS):

  • Open a web browser and enter the printer's IP address in the address bar. You can find the IP address on the printer's control panel by navigating to Wireless > Settings > Display Network Configuration.
  • This will open the printer's Embedded Web Server.

Configure Wi-Fi Settings:

  • In the Embedded Web Server, go to the "Network" or "Wireless" tab.
  • Look for the option to configure wireless or Wi-Fi settings.
  • Select your new Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the password.

Complete the Setup:

  • Once you've entered the Wi-Fi information, save the settings.
  • Reconnect your computer or mobile device to your regular Wi-Fi network.

Check the Printer Connection:

  • Make sure the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network by checking the Wireless light on the printer. It should stop blinking and remain solid.

If the above steps don't resolve the issue, you may want to try the following.

Restart the Printer and Router:

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Restart your router by unplugging it and plugging it back in.
  • Wait for a few minutes and then turn on the printer.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer on the HP support website. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
