Hi @RAP121,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I hear that your HP DeskJet 4155e All in one printer unable to print. The flashing orange paper light indicates an error, and the blue light may not actually mean the printer is communicating properly with your device.

1. Fix the Paper Error:

  • Clear the Jam: Even with paper loaded, there might be a scrap blocking the internal rollers. Turn off the printer and gently check the input tray and access door for paper scraps.

  • Reload the Paper: Remove the paper stack, tap it on a flat surface to align the edges, and fan it out. Place it back into the tray and adjust the paper width guide so it rests snugly against the paper without bending it.

  • Resume: Press the Resume/Cancel button (the "X" icon) on the printer control panel to clear the error.

2. Troubleshoot the Network Status:

  • Verify the Connection: On the printer, check if the blue wireless light is blinking or solid. A solid blue light means it is actively connected. A blinking blue light means it is disconnected or in setup mode.

  • Reconnect via App: If the light is blinking, open the HP Smart App on your computer or phone to re-link your printer to your 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.

3. Perform a Hard Reset:

Sometimes printers get stuck in a "false error" loop.

  • Turn the printer on.

  • While it is turned on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer and from the wall outlet.

  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.

  • Plug the power cord directly back into the wall outlet and the printer.

I hope this will help.

Take care and have a good day.

I'm an HP Employee.
