HP DeskJet 4210e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

My HP DeskJet 4210e printer suddenly stopped working, it wont print anything, no matter how hard i try to. There is no error message, everything seems to be working like normal from the outside but the moment i press the print button, il does not print anything. It's like the printing order never gets to the machine for some reason. So there is no fixing tool indicating any kind of error in the machine, nothing. there is only a printing order that never gets to the printer. Can somebody help me please?

HI @Jdfiokas,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for explaining the issue so clearly. Since the printer appears normal and there is no error message, but the print job never actually reaches the printer, this is more likely a communication, printer connection, or Windows print driver/queue issue rather than a mechanical problem with the printer.

The HP DeskJet 4210e is fully compatible with Windows 11, and HP provides the software and drivers for this model.

Please try the following steps in order:
1. Check the printer connection
If you are using Wi-Fi, make sure the computer and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Also restart the printer and your router.

If possible, temporarily try connecting the printer to the PC using a USB cable. This is a good way to determine whether the problem is with the printer itself or the wireless communication.

2. Use the HP app to diagnose the printer
HP recommends using the HP app for setup, printing, and troubleshooting on Windows. The app includes Diagnose & Fix, which can identify and repair common printing and connection problems.

If you already have the printer installed in the HP app, open it and run Diagnose & Fix.

3. Remove and add the printer again
If the print job remains stuck or disappears without printing:

  • Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners
  • Select the HP DeskJet 4210e
  • Remove the printer.
  • Restart the PC.
  • Open the HP app and add the printer again.

HP specifically provides the HP app as the recommended setup and support method for the DeskJet 4200e series.

4. Check HP's official driver page
You can download the software and drivers specifically for the HP DeskJet 4210e here: HP DeskJet 4210e All-in-One Printer Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support

Make sure Windows 11 is selected before installing anything.

If the issue started suddenly after the printer was working normally, please also check whether Windows has recently installed an update, as HP has specific troubleshooting guidance for printers that stop working after a Windows update.

If the printer copies directly from its control panel but still does not print from Windows, please let us know. That would help narrow this down considerably to the Windows connection/print queue rather than the printer hardware.

If you can, also share a screenshot of the printer's status under Windows > Printers & scanners. That can help us see exactly how Windows is detecting the 4210e.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
