Hi,
I am having a problem with my printer. I set it up and can print from my phone, but my laptop is showing it as off-line. I also get the message that "Driver is unavailable."
Any ideas how to fix it?
Thank you!

Hi @LKA2025,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding !
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
Check Printer Connection
Make sure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
On your printer:
Press the Wireless button until it starts blinking.
Then press the WPS button on your router (if available) to reconnect.
On your laptop:
Open a browser and go to http://192.168.x.x (your printer’s IP address, if you know it), this checks network visibility.
Remove Old Printer Entry
Sometimes old or broken entries confuse Windows:
Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers
Right-click your HP DeskJet 3700 and select Remove device
Reinstall the Full Driver
You’ll want the Full Feature Software and Driver, not just the basic one.
Download from HP’s official page:
HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3700 drivers
Install it. This will detect your printer and configure it properly.
Add Printer Again
After installation:
Go to Settings > Bluetooth & Devices > Printers & Scanners
Click Add a printer or scanner
Wait for Windows to find your printer and add it.
Check Windows Services
If your printer still shows offline:
Press Windows + R, type services.msc, hit Enter.
Scroll to Print Spooler
Right-click → Restart
Make sure it’s set to Automatic
I hope this helps.
