Common problems for Connectivity Issues

My HP Deskjet 2622 is printing wireless quick start pages randomly - I have tried the fix on this community but it has not worked - do I have to remove and add the printer again?

I understand  the troubleshooting steps provided by the community haven't resolved the issue, it's worth trying a few more steps before removing and re-adding the printer:

 

  • Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from power, wait for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on. This can sometimes resolve minor glitches.
  • Check Printer Settings: Ensure that the printer is not set to automatically print a wireless quick start page when it detects a change in the wireless network or encounters an error. You can usually adjust these settings through the printer's control panel or its web interface.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Make sure your printer's firmware is up-to-date. Check the HP support website for any available firmware updates for your specific printer model and follow the instructions to install them. Update the firmware on an HP printer
  • Check Wireless Network Stability: Ensure that your wireless network is stable and that the printer is properly connected to it. If there are any issues with the wireless connection, it could cause the printer to print the quick start page.
  • Reset Printing System (on Mac): If you're using a Mac, you can try resetting the printing system. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, right-click on the printer, and select "Reset printing system." Note that this will remove all printers from your system, so you'll need to re-add them afterward.
  • Remove and Re-Add Printer: As a last resort, if none of the above steps work, you can remove the printer from your computer's list of printers and then re-add it. This process can sometimes help to resolve persistent issues.
