I only have a hotspot wifi connection for my laptop - printer says it isn't connecting to the wifi. Also, when it does attempt to connect, laptop cannot stay connected to the wifi. Already tried changing settings as recommended when someone else asked a similar question and also tried using password 12345678 ... It doesn't recognise this password and asks for network key or password.

Hi @BarbaraC2,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP Deskjet 2630 printer won't connect to wifi, there are a few things you can try to resolve the issue.
- Restart your printer: Sometimes, restarting your printer can help resolve connectivity issues. Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source. Wait for a minute or two before plugging it back in and turning it on.
- Check your wifi connection: Make sure your wifi is working properly and your device is connected to it. If your wifi is not working, try resetting your router.
- Check your printer's wifi settings: Make sure your printer is set up to connect to your wifi network. You can check this in the printer's settings or via the printer's control panel.
- Check your wifi password: If you recently changed your wifi password, you will need to update your printer's wifi settings to reflect the new password.
- Move your printer closer to the router: Sometimes, the signal strength may not be strong enough to connect your printer to the wifi network. Try moving your printer closer to the router to see if this helps.
- Reset your printer's network settings: If none of the above steps work, try resetting your printer's network settings to their default settings. You can do this by pressing and holding the Wireless button on the printer until the Power light starts flashing.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
