Hi @Arupg ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand the issue of being unable to print from your laptop, despite the printer showing as ready and being on the same network, could stem from various factors. Here's a step-by-step troubleshooting guide:

1. Verify the Network Connection

  • Ensure both your printer and laptop are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Double-check if they are on the same frequency band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz).
  • Ping the printer's IP address from your laptop:
    1. Find the printer’s IP address on its settings or through the HP Smart app.
    2. On your laptop, open the Command Prompt and type: ping <Printer_IP> (replace <Printer_IP> with the actual IP address).
    3. Check if the ping is successful.

2. Restart Devices

  • Power cycle your printer, laptop, and router:
    1. Turn off the printer and unplug it for 30 seconds.
    2. Restart your laptop.
    3. Restart your router/modem.

3. Update Printer Drivers

  • Ensure you have the latest drivers for the DeskJet 2700 series installed:
    1. Visit HP Support.
    2. Search for your printer model and download the latest drivers compatible with your operating system.

4. Remove and Re-add the Printer

  • On your laptop:
    1. Open Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
    2. Locate your printer, click it, and select Remove device.
    3. Re-add the printer by clicking Add a printer or scanner. Let Windows search for available devices and select your printer.

5. Check the Print Spooler

  • Ensure the print spooler service is running:
    1. Press Windows + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
    2. Locate Print Spooler in the list.
    3. Right-click it and select Restart.

6. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • It can automatically detect and fix common printing issues.

7. Set Printer as Default

  • On your laptop:
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
    2. Locate your printer, click it, and select Manage.
    3. Click Set as default.

8. Firewall or Antivirus Blocking

  • Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your laptop to check if it’s blocking the print request.

9. Print a Test Page

  • From your laptop:
    1. Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
    2. Select your printer and click Manage.
    3. Click Print a test page.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
