Hi @JeffC1202,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The HP Deskjet 2724 is designed to operate on 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi networks and does not support 5 GHz Wi-Fi networks. This is a common specification for many printers and IoT devices, as the 2.4 GHz band offers better range and wall penetration compared to the 5 GHz band, which is beneficial for devices that might not require high bandwidth. If your network is primarily 5 GHz, you might need to enable a 2.4 GHz band or set up a separate SSID for 2.4 GHz connections to use with devices like the HP Deskjet 2724.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
