Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

macOS 11.0 Big Sur

Printer does not work with either WiFi or hard wire connection to laptop.  Cannot re-download drivers.  Wireless lite is blinking blue.

HP Smart for Desktop says printer station off-line, Installation Status-not installed, Connection Type-Network, Connection Status-Inactive.

Recently installed Xfinity Gateway.  Tried rebooting printer and Gateway.  Printer will make copies but not print from laptop.

I see you are experiencing print issues with the HP Deskjet does not work on Wi-Fi and Ethernet.

 

I have a few recommendations 

  • Click the Apple menu , click System Preferences, and then click Printers & Scanners or Print and Scan. Right-click or control + click anywhere in the Printers list, and then click Reset printing system. Click Reset to confirm. Type the administrator name and password, and then click OK to complete the reset.
  • Make sure paper is loaded in the main tray, and then turn on the printer. From the Wireless or Setup menu, select Network setup or Settings, and then select Restore Network Settings. Get the network name and password. Go to Find the wireless network password or PIN to connect an HP printer for more information.
  • Please click on this link if HP software cannot access your printer

I lost all printers. Went to add printer and my Deskjet 3050A J611 series came up. Pressed “add” .   Message came up “Unable to verify the printer on your network”. 

The printer screen says it is connected to wifi. Can’t print anything.  I press print and no printer is listed.

Thank you for responding, I appreciate your time and effort.

 

Do a hard reset on your printer. To do this you just need to turn off your printer, unplug for a few minutes and then plug the printer again. If that still doesn't work, try turning the printer and your computer off, and then start it back up again. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling your printer driver.

 

Print a Wireless Network Test report from the printer control panel. On many printers pressing the Wireless button allows direct access to printing this report.

 

Use the printer control panel to restore Wi-Fi setup mode, and then set up the printer again.

 

Download and install the full feature printer software.
