Hi,

 

For months I've been struggling with setting up my Printer since I had a change in my Wifi Network a while back.

 

I tried almost all the threads and all the solutions on this forum, but on the threads that look like my problem the only answer I end up seeing is "We have sent you a direct DM".

 

I have absolutely no way of setting up my printer because it gives me a notification that:
"A custom password has been set for your printer. Enter the password to access the printer web interface."

 

I've tried everything and there seems absolutely no way to fix this.

1) I used the print and scan doctor to run through the fix. Still the same issue.

2) If I try hardware and software reset with print and scan doctor, then it asks for an admin username and password. I don't have any of these and there are no labels in or on the printer with this data.

3) I tried resetting with the Cancel and Wifi button

4) I tried all the data on the Wifi Direct page, nothing works anywhere

5) I tried the "hard reset" Power button + copy 2x + cancel 3x

 

None of these work and the printer persists on asking a custom password, or an admin password with the scan doctor.

As far as I know, I have never even set a custom password and I have tried any password that I could be. Even longer passwords where I only used 16 characters as for some people this was the problem.

 

I called a few months ago to HP support and they could not help me at all either. I'm really disgusted by how these issues seem to be popping up all over and HP has no decent support for their products.

 

Can anyone actually help with this or should I throw this piece of junk in the trash?

And still nobody responded from support! 3639 together with hp company and their support is garbage and I regret for buying it. I can't connect it at all, it doesn't give me an option to change wifi settings. I might need to throw it through the terrace!
