Doesn't work with any black ink cartridge (I've tried 3) All were new from HP. I've cleaned the copper contact pads, I've done a hard reset, etc. I tried to update firmware but it refuses to do it. When I tried to update it via wifi It said that the " printer was unable to connect to the server." and when I connected it via USB, HP Smart said "Printer status unknown"

Hi,
What is the exact error message on the printer? are you using HP 650 ink cartridges in the printer?
Can you see the Black or the Tri-Color cartridge mark above or below the error message?

Dis the error began upon replacing the ink cartridge? can you see the same error by installing the the old cartridge as well?

Please follow below steps to troubleshoot a such, see the"Resolve ink cartridge errors (21, 22, 27, 28, 56-67, 61/301, 63/302, 64/303, 65/304, 74, 75, 92-98, 304, 305, 901 cartridges)" which applies for 650 ink cartridges as well:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1721989-1461843-16
If you have the old ink cartridge, I suggest making sure it does show the same error too, I would also suggest going back to the retailer and send one of the cartridges to HP to inspect it is not faulty.
Other than that, if any of the steps does not resolve the problem, I would also suggest making sure the latest firmware is installed for the printer, follow the 'Download printer firmware from the HP website (Windows)' section:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16
If any of the steps fails to resolve the error, it likely requires servicing or replacing the printer.

I've already done everything on the HP website + other forums, multiple times. Also the printer refuses to update the firmware via wifi or usb, I don't know why. I'm probably better off buying a new printer than wasting even more money trying to fix this one anyway.
Thanks for the help
