@TMBECK, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.
I understand your HP DeskJet 2755e All-in-One Printer keeps going offline, and despite trying the recommended resets, it still doesn’t stay online. Let’s work through a few steps to get this resolved.
Set Printer to a Static IP Address
Dynamic IPs can change and cause offline issues. Assigning a static IP helps maintain a stable connection.
- Print a Network Configuration Page:
- Press the Information button (🛈) and the Wireless button together on the printer.
- Note the IP Address from the printout.
- Open a browser on your PC and enter the IP address to access the Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- Go to Network > IPv4 Configuration and set a Manual IP (use the current IP, subnet mask, and default gateway from the printout).
- Click Apply.
Disable SNMP in Printer Port Settings
SNMP can cause Windows to think the printer is offline.
- On your PC, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click your printer > Printer Properties > Ports tab.
- Select the port with your printer’s IP > click Configure Port.
- Uncheck the box for SNMP Status Enabled > Click OK.
Use HP Smart App for Reliable Connectivity
Make sure you're using the HP Smart app, which is optimized for managing HP+ printers like the 2755e.

Re-add the Printer Using IP Address
Sometimes re-adding the printer manually helps.
- Go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.
- Click Add device > Add manually > Add a printer using a TCP/IP address.
- Enter the static IP you set earlier.
