My printer doesn't work on our wifi. The printer only prints if my computer is connected to the printer wifi, which has no internet connection. Is there any way to have my computer connected to wifi and print at the same time? It's very annoying always having to change from wifi to the printer wifi before printing. I think I am using wifi direct to print (DIRECT-77-HP ENVY 6000 series). Printer information report shows that the printer is connected to our wifi network and that the signal strength is excellent, but is not connected to the internet; very confusing.

@JuliaHiltunen, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.
If you are using Wifi-Direct to print, there will be no internet access on the Mac.
Do you have access to a personal wireless router?
If yes, kindly connect the Mac and the printer to this router wirelessly.
Refer to - Connecting an HP Printer Using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
- Make sure the printer and the Mac are connected to the same wireless network. Either 2.4 or 5GHz network.
- If you have a Dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
Hope this helps! Let me know how it goes.
