The printer has worked in the past but wont frequently get stuck offline. This happened 2 days ago and this time it would not go online - after some attempts to fix it it is now stuck unconnected and will not connect via computer or WPS. Smartphone doesn't support connection. It's a catch-22 - can't be diagnosed because it won't connect to wifi. Please does anyone have a suggestion. So frustrating..
Is there a way to reset to factory defaults from the printer itself?
PC: windows 11.

Hi @redandgreen,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing trouble connecting your HP ENVY 6430e printer to Wi-Fi. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue.
- Restart the printer: Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on. Sometimes a simple restart can fix connectivity problems.
- Check Wi-Fi signal: Ensure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network. If the signal is weak or the printer is too far away from the router, try moving it closer to see if it establishes a connection.
- Verify network credentials: Make sure you're entering the correct Wi-Fi network name (SSID) and password during the setup process. Double-check for any typos or mistakes.
- Reset network settings: On the printer, navigate to the settings or network menu and look for an option to reset the network settings. Select it to clear any previous network configurations and start fresh.
- Update firmware: Visit the HP support website (support.hp.com) and search for your printer model. Look for firmware updates specifically related to network connectivity issues. If available, download and install the latest firmware for your printer.
- Disable firewall or antivirus: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your computer or router. Sometimes, these security measures can interfere with the printer's ability to connect to Wi-Fi.
- Connect via USB: As a temporary workaround, you can connect your printer to your computer using a USB cable. This method allows you to print while bypassing the Wi-Fi connection. Once connected, you may be able to troubleshoot further or update the printer's settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
