I renamed my wireless network yesterday and now I'm getting errors saying I need to connect to internet in order for HP Instant Ink to send new ink. I hit connect and its asking for proxy information. I checked my internet settings and I HAVE NO PROXY setup, it's set to automatic, and never had. All I've done in the past is entered my network name and password and I was all set.
What do I do????
Bonus points if you can explain why my printer properties is stuck saying "Printer is out of paper" when it's not.

Hi @2talll,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like there might be a few issues with your HP ENVY 7640 printer and its connection to HP Instant Ink. Let's try to address these problems step by step:
1. Proxy Information Issue:
Check the network settings on your printer:
- On the printer control panel, go to "Setup" or "Settings."
- Navigate to "Network" or "Wireless" settings.
- Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
If the issue persists, you can try the following:
- Restart your router and printer.
- Ensure that the new network name and password are correctly entered on the printer.
If the problem persists after checking these steps, consider updating your printer firmware. You can find firmware updates on the HP support website.
2. "Printer is out of paper" Issue:
Check the paper tray:
- Make sure the paper is loaded correctly in the paper tray.
- Adjust the paper guides to fit the size of the paper.
Clear any paper jams:
- Open the access door and check for any stuck paper. If found, carefully remove it.
Check the paper sensor:
- Ensure that there are no obstructions near the paper sensor.
- Clean the sensor using a soft, lint-free cloth.
Restart the printer:
- Turn off the printer, wait for a few minutes, and then turn it back on.
Update printer drivers:
- Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. You can download the latest drivers from the HP website.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.-
